Christmas Wish has shown kindness to families in crisis since 2004

Who We Are

Christmas Wish CT is a local program that was founded by Mike Stacy from the Lite 100.5 WRCH morning show “Allan, Mike & Mary.”  It began in 2004 and has touched many lives granting wishes for food,  gifts,  warm clothing,  and more.  Mike runs Christmas Wish CT with Bruce Scotti,  Robert Bligh, Carol Stacy, Liza Anderson, Rosemary Earley and many volunteers.  There is not a single paid employee.  This is a pay it forward program.  People helping People.  Every single dollar donated goes directly to local children and families.  Help Christmas Wish CT share the Christmas Spirit 365 days a year with a donation NOW!

How We Help

Through generous donations from sponsors and individuals alike, we help families in the local community who need a little boost throughout the year.

Our flagship event for 16 years has been our Annual Christmas Party.  Connecticut families have joined us at WRCH’s Farmington Studios, Lake Compounce in Bristol and most recently at Nomad’s Adventure Quest in South Windsor.  In addition, Town and Country Transportation of New Britain has generously provided Luxury Motor Coach transportation to families from area homeless and domestic violence shelters as well as families associated with after school programs and/or generations housing.  With the Coronavirus Pandemic, this party/gathering is not possible in 2020.  We will grant on air wishes on a case by case basis (please see get my wish granted).

Countdown to Christmas

“I attended the Nomads event last night (December 13, 2018) with my 3 children and must I say it was simply amazing . They made my children so happy and full of life ! Thank you guys for being so kind and thinking of others ! Everyone’s Christmas got a little brighter last night ! I am still speechless . I admit I cried . It’s so nice to see such nice and loving people out there ! My kids will always know that somewhere out there good people do exist! I hope God blesses you all who helped to make Christmas happen!”

“Thank you for adopting our family for Christmas 2018.  It is hard being a single Mother of 3 kids and doing everything alone.  Thanks for making my kid’s Christmas happy again.”

“I just want to thank you so much for making my son’s Christmas happen.  After being in a car accident and being unable to work, I really thought my son wouldn’t have a Christmas in 2018.  You blessed us a lot and I thank you a billion times from the bottom of my heart.”

Belinda and Elian

“You surprised my parents there at Big Y World Class Market in Meriden when you paid for their groceries December 19, 2018! How generous! Thank you for your kindness, Christmas Wish CT!”

Editor’s Note:  We surprised shoppers by paying for $7,500 in groceries with our Elf Help Volunteers.

“The work they do is amazing. I attended their event last night at Nomads in South Windsor. Hundreds of children from shelters in the Hartford area had a meal, sat with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and received Christmas gifts. There were dozens of volunteers working hard to bring the holiday spirit to these children.”
